Cruise and Passenger

We took care of the design and planning for an event ship, that is used on the Rhine for a wide variety of events. The catamaran has three decks, a spacious open deck and a large stage with a separate dressing room for the artists. Around 1,000 guests have a view of this stage from two levels. The event ship is suitable for events of all kinds from 450 to 1,650 guests.

We designed a passenger ship with capacities for up to 700 people, which creates a unique atmosphere for the guests with its all-round panoramic view and a unique lighting concept. Lifts on all decks enable barrier-free access.

Emission-free travel across the Alster with fuel cells and an electric motor - the design and calculation for the development of this project came from our engineering office.

The world's first diesel-electrically powered inland cruise vessel came from our pen. It consumes less fuel and enhanced the guest’s comfort because of less noise and vibration.

We were trusted with the development of a new class of event ships, four decks high, 85 meters long, with space for up to 1,000 passengers and a large function space with stage.

The design of the previous 135m cabin cruise vessel was further refined by us and a corner stone for an unforeseen series of newbuilds.

Based on our previous 135m designs we had the chance to contribute our expertise to the continuously developed series of river cruise ships, which is well known as the so called "long ships". The success of this series is outstanding till today.

Our experience in event vessel design is consulted from all over the world. In this case we had the chance to developed an event vessel for the Asian market.

The design for electric passenger vessels was developed, capable of carrying 140 guests.

The full basic and detail design for two battery electric passenger vessels were delivered, each capable of carrying 180 guests. These vessels have a substantial amount of solar panels on board to reduce the overall power consumption.

Third time lucky. Buchloh was commissioned to design the new luxurious event vessel for a long-term client, the concept, basic detail and workshop drawings were produced as the first remarkable project in the new office spaces

As a step into a new era, our client wants to replace his fleet in the next years. He planned a technology-open platform with us to adapt for the upcoming energy transition with low future investments.
